Group structures help facilitate and maximize student learning by the strategic placement of students within a given learning experience. In order for group structures to be effective they need to be guided through some form of data. Data could be quantitative, qualitative, behavioral, or perception data. In addition, group structures should also be selected as a means to best meet the learning objective and support student achievement.
